WINTER PART TIME COURSES
Previously known as "Academic and Term Time" Courses
Winter Daytime Courses are for adult students who want to follow a part time daytime programme of study in autumn, winter and/or spring each year. Students can study from 1 week to 40 weeks each time and can attend from 2 lessons to 15 lessons each week. Students can start and finish their course anytime they want although we recommend that they study during our term time start and finish dates if possible. It is possible to combine the winter part time course with one or more of the other courses eg exam preparation, holiday etc if they wish.
Evening Courses are for adult students who wish to follow a part time programme of study in the evening. Students can study from 10 to 50 weeks per year. Evening courses run throughout the year, subject to sufficient numbers, and we advise students to register for the start date of a course. It is also possible for students to join a course after it has started and to study for less than 10 weeks, providing there are spaces available in the class they wish to join. It is possible to combine an evening course with one or more of the other courses.

Corporate Courses are for corporate individuals and company groups who need to address their very specific language needs. They may require a bespoke course to help them address these needs. Courses are arranged after consultation between the client / client group and ELH. These courses are ideal for groups who have specific EFL (English as a Foreign Language ) and/or ESP (English for Special Purposes) requirements and who would like to target these needs in a very controlled way. The client/s will select the location and time of the lessons. ELH will develop and administer a course specific to the needs of the client/s. The course will be taught by an ELH teacher best suited to target the client’s specific language needs.
ONE2ONE AND SMALL GROUP COURSES
One2One Courses are private lessons. Students can book these anytime. They can book the number of hours per week, the number of weeks per course and the day and time of classes. It is possible to combine a One2One course with one or more of the other courses.
Small Group Courses are courses that groups of students, friends or colleagues book together. Classes can take place at ELH or at a location that the group prefer.
Tutorial Courses are learning and evaluation sessions where a students will meet with a tutor each week. During the tutorial the student will discuss their English language needs, their progress so far and what they think they can do to improve their English further. The tutor will listen and help by giving feedback and suggestions during Basic tutorials. During Tutorial As and Tutorial Bs students are given study packs to work with which encourage further language development via autonomous self directed learning. During a Tutorial A or B the tutors will talk to the student and help him/her identify their language needs and areas for further improvement. Tutors will then give students “study packs” to help them work on the areas of language they want to improve. Each study pack will contain material for guided learning to help students improve the English they think is most important for them. The tutor will meet the students each week, give them feedback on their work and make suggestions on how to improve further.
