FREE ENGLISH LESSONS WITH CELTA TRAINEES
The teachers who teach the Free English lessons are mostly CELTA trainees. This means that most of your teachers will be doing a teacher training course to learn how to teach English to foreign students. These teachers are not qualified English language teachers and this is why the lessons are "free". Sometimes experienced teachers may teach the lessons so that the trainee teachers can watch them.
Lessons may be in the morning ie between 9:00 to 12:30 or in the afternoon ie between 13:00 to 17:30 or in the evening ie between 18:00 to 21:00 UK time.
Each course of Free English lessons may be for a minimum of 10 hours but may be for a maximum of 20 hours. Students will need to be able to attend the majority of these.

If you want you can also pay the Free class priority entry fee to guarantee your place on the next free course.
WHAT IS THE FREE CLASS PRIORITY ENTRY FEE?
The free class priority entry fee gives you a confirmed place on the next free course. But you do not have to pay this if you don't want to. You can read more information about the free class priority fee here and decide.
Students who pay this fee get "priority entry" to the Free classes. This means that these students get the first places that are available. We only have 6 places for students in our Face2Face free classes and 10 places for students in our Live Online Free classes so once these are full we cannot take anyone else. The free class priority entry fee will guarantee that students will get one of the 6 or 10 places available and that they will not be disappointed. |
WHEN DO LESSONS TAKE PLACE?
Lessons will usually be mid week and will run for 2 hours or 2 hours 30 mins each day.
They will take place when we run the CELTA teacher training course. Lessons may be in the mornings or in the afternoon or in the evenings. They may take place every day:
We will let you know the exact days and times of the lessons before the course start date. .
WHO WILL TEACH THE FREE ENGLISH LESSONS?
Most teachers will be "trainee teachers" who are attending the Cambridge University CELTA teacher training course.
Sometimes qualified teachers or CELTA trainers may teach the lessons so that the trainee teachers can observe them. |
