2024 NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION FORM

You need to complete the Registration form if you are joining English Language House for the first time. Before you complete the form please make sure you read the Student Terms and Conditions and the Terms and conditions for Online bookings and let us know if there is anything you do not understand.

If you are under 18 years old you will need to complete this form with your parents and then ask your parents to also complete the Parental Consent form.
If you need a visa to study English in England you will also need to complete the Visa Form.
If you need information about accommodation you should complete the accommodation form.

SPECIAL NEEDS - EMERGENCY CONTACT - CONSENT

SPECIAL NEEDS If you have any special needs that we need to know about, please tell us, so that we can help you if necessary. For example: a) you may have broken your leg and have to use crutches when you come to school, or b) you may have asthma and have to use your inhaler regularly, or c) you may suffer from hay fever, or d) you may be allergic to nuts or penicillin or e) you may be wearing a hearing aid and need to sit near the front so you can hear the teacher etc. If you tell us, we can make sure that ELH staff will know what to do if you need help and who to contact if there is a problem or an emergency.

CONSENT FORM
WHY WE ASK FOR YOUR CONSENT:
ELH needs your consent to share information about you with others, to take and use photos of you and to arrange a basic tutorial for you. You can say "no" if you want. We will keep this information safe, we will share it with others if you have given us permission, or if we are required to by law. We will store it only for as long as is necessary for legal or regulatory reasons or for legitimate organisational purposes. PLEASE NOTE THAT if you give your consent for us to take and use photos of you, ELH may use these photos in our marketing material eg leaflets, brochures, website, facebook, twitter, instagram etc but we will never use your full name in connection with the photos.

British Council inspectors - ELH is Accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English and British Council inspectors sometimes come to inspect the school. When they visit they look at the way we work. They may look at student registration forms and student homework, they may talk to teachers, to Office staff and to some students. If you agree then we can show the inspectors your student file (which includes your Registration Form, Needs Analysis, Progress Reports, etc) and some of your work and homework. If you do not agree then we won't show your file, so we need to check with you that you agree.

Photographs - We sometimes take photographs of the school and the students. Some students are happy to be in photographs, others are not. Please tell us if you agree that we can take your photo in a group with other students. We need your consent before we can include you in any photos. Tell us if you agree.
Publicity Photographs - If the photos are good we may like to use them in publicity, including putting them on our website We need your consent before we can use a photo with you in it, in our publicity or on our website. Tell us if you agree.

Personal Information Data collection, processing and storage
When you contact ELH we will collect and process your personal information so that we can assess your application to study with us, recommend suitable courses for you and, if you register with us, monitor your progress and language development while you are studying with us. We will keep this information safe, we will only share it outside ELH if we are required to by law and we will store it only for as long as necessary for legal or regulatory reasons or for legitimate organisational purposes.

I can email and ask ELH to delete my personal information at any time. ELH will delete this information so long as ELH is not required to keep it for legal or regulatory reasons or for legitimate organisational purposes.

Elh email address and Group WhatsApp.

Before or shortly after you start studying, ELH will create an email address for you to use and a WhatsApp Group just for you. Your Elh email address will be used by Elh staff to communicate with you about your lessons and to share material with you via OneDrive. The Group WhatsApp will be used by Elh senior management staff to message you about your course, update you about lessons and communicate with you quickly and efficiently if you have any questions to ask or problems you would like us to solve.

You must make sure that we can see your name and date of birth clearly and, if you have a study visa, that we can see this clearly too.
