WHAT IS A TUTORIAL?
A tutorial is a meeting with a tutor to discuss your English language needs, your progress and the work you can do to improve your English further. This is our Basic tutorial which is available to all students at ELH
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A TUTORIAL
During a Tutorial A or B the tutor will talk to the student and help him/her identify their language needs. The tutor will then give the student “study packs” to help them work on the areas of English they need to improve.
Each study pack will contain material for guided learning to help the student improve the English theythink is most important for them. Your tutor will meet the student each week, give them feedback on their work and make suggestions on how to improve further. WHEN IS ELH CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAYS?
See the dates we are closed here. If students want to miss classes outside these dates they must ask to include "break weeks" in their study programme. Students must do this at the time they book their classes and before they pay their invoice. |
TUTORIALS are suitable for students who want to become more autonomous learners. They are very good for students who are organised and can manage their time effectively to complete tasks they are set by their teacher.

BREAK WEEKS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE
Sometimes students need to take a break from their study programme usually because they have family or work commitments eg their children are on holiday, their family is visiting from abroad etc. Students know this in advance and can tell us the dates of these "break weeks" when they book their study programme. If you need to include breaks in your study programme it is important that you book your "break weeks" at the same time that you book your course and pay for your classes.
Please note that "break weeks" must be booked in advance. They are agreed between ELH and the student and the dates are included in the study programme and timetable for that student. Student's who do not book their "break weeks" in advance cannot include these after their study programme has been issued.
