STUDENT ENROLMENT AND PAYMENT OF FEES

ENROLMENT AND PAYMENT
We recommend that students enrol and pay at least two weeks before the start date of their course. The cost of a course is shown on our website here. Please read this carefully to make sure you pay the correct amount.

JOINING ELH FOR THE FIRST TIME
The first time you join ELH you will need to complete the Enrolment Form and pay a £39 registration fee. You pay this fee only once. This fee is non-refundable.

HOW YOU CAN PAY FOR YOUR COURSE
- You can pay online via the website
- You can pay an invoice that is sent to you after you complete your enrolment form
CONTINUING AFTER THE END OF YOUR COURSE
If you finish your course and want to continue with more lessons you can do so. You will need to pay your course fee but you do not need to pay the registration fee again.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU ENROL AND PAY FOR YOUR COURSE
You will receive a receipt for your course and a timetable for your classes. .
If you have an outstanding balance to pay we will give you a receipt showing the money you are paying at the time of enrollment and your new timetable. If you have already paid the full fees your receipt will show that there is no outstanding balance and your new timetable

REFUNDS
IMPORTANT: After you have chosen your course and paid for your lessons these lessons are booked for you student and it may not be possible to change your mind and receive a refund. You can add lessons to your timetable but you cannot deduct lessons once a course has started. ELH will only change your timetable of lessons if your level has improved and you can change to a higher level. ELH will not refund or reschedule lessons that students miss.
The ELH refund policy is as follows:
IMPORTANT: We advise all students to make sure they understand the information regarding ELH student enrolment, payment, and the ELH refund policy. If you are unsure please ask us before you enrol and pay for your lessons.
- For fees paid for a 5 week course or less there is no refund.
- For fees paid for 6 weeks or more a 50% refund will be given before the start date of the course only if you give 4 weeks notice in writing. The start date is the date of your first course programme.
- After the start date of their course students will not receive a refund. In the event that a course is cancelled due to insufficient numbers students will be given a credit note to be used for alternative or future courses.
- Lessons missed will not be refunded or rescheduled

FORCE MAJEURE
In the event of 'force majeure' such as fire, flooding, infectious diseases, snow and other events outside the company's reasonable control which may cause the closure of the school, no refund of fees will be made to students. In exceptional circumstances and at the school's discretion students may be given a credit note.

ABSENCE FROM CLASS:
ELH does not give refunds for classes missed under any circumstances. Students who take unapproved leave from classes will be marked as absent from those classes. They cannot reschedule or receive a refund for missed classes.

It is sometimes possible to add break weeks in your study programme but you must do this before you book and pay for your classes.
Students who feel there are exceptional circumstances may request approved leave from classes in writing. They must state the reason for their request and the dates involved. You will need to give no less than 4 weeks notice in order for your request to be considered. In this instance approved leave may be granted at the discretion of the Director ELH. The result of your request will be given to you in writing. The decision of the Director ELH is final.

Visa students who wish to join other lessons while they are in the UK can do so but these hours cannot count towards their sponsored total hours of English Language study and would be additional to their English Language course.

Our code of conduct states what we expect of students and staff at ELH. When you join ELH you agree to abide by the rules in our code of conduct. Students who break these rules may be asked to leave. In this instance no refund will be granted.
The English Language House Code of Conduct is designed to promote harmony and the efficient and safe functioning of the school.
