We may use the name that you provide in your ELH Account across all of the services we offer that require your ELH Account. In addition, we may replace past names associated with your ELH Account, so that you are presented consistently and accurately in our records.
We will respect the choices you make in your ELH Account
When you contact ELH, we keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might face. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming free classes, discounts and special offers.
We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those set out in this Privacy Policy.

This personal information will be stored on our initial enquiry form, which is a paper document, and your email will be stored on the ELH office email address when we email you information following your initial enquiry.

- Information you give us when you access our services. When you decide to register with ELH and/or work with ELH we will ask for further information which we will collect from you. Depending on the services you require from ELH we may ask you to fill in one or more of the following forms:

- We will share personal information with companies, organisations or individuals outside ELH if we have a belief in good faith that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
- meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
- Eg Like other Accredited language schools ELH regularly receives requests from the UKVI, the British Council, ISI oversight and EnglishUK to give them information about students who study with us, agents and companies that work with us and homestay providers. Respect for the privacy and security of data that is kept by ELH underpins our approach to complying with these legal requests. We will always review each and every request, regardless of type, and we may push back when a request appears to be overly broad or does not follow the correct process.
Information security
We work hard to protect information held by ELH from unauthorised access or unauthorised alteration, disclosure or destruction. In particular:
- We use Gmail and GoogleDrive to store student information securely. This information can only be accessed by ELH admin staff and Elh teachers on a need to know basis.
- If we need to store paper documents with student information, we do so in a safe lockable location.
- Certain student information such as names, nationalities, contact details of students which are stored on the ELH GoogleDrive may be shared this with ELH teachers or BC, ISI, UKVI inspectors.
- We review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorised access to systems.
- We restrict access to personal information to ELH employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations. They may be disciplined or their contract terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.
