ABOUT BREAK WEEKS
BREAK WEEKS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE
Sometimes students need to take a break from their study programme usually because they have family or work commitments eg their children are on holiday, their family is visiting from abroad etc. Students know this in advance and can tell us the dates of these "break weeks" when they book their study programme. If you need to include breaks in your study programme it is important that you book your "break weeks" at the same time that you book your course and pay for your classes.
Please note that "break weeks" must be booked in advance. They are agreed between ELH and the student and the dates are included in the study programme and timetable for that student. Student's who do not book their "break weeks" in advance cannot include these after their study programme has been issued.

WHAT ARE BREAK WEEKS?
Break week are weeks that students tell us "not to include" as part of their personal study programme and timetable. Break weeks must be booked in advance. This means that students who want to exclude certain days the dates from their study programme and timetable of lessons can tell the ELH office before they pay and book their classes and Mihaela will invoice them only for the classes they will attend and include the dates of these break weeks in their personal study programme and timetable.
For example:
Student A may choose a 20 week study programme from 10th January to 20th June
Whereas:
Student B may choose a 30 week study programme from 10th September to 19th April and include a break week from 8th February - 12th February
For example:
Student A may choose a 20 week study programme from 10th January to 20th June
- During this time the student will study continually with breaks other than the ELH holiday days. This student will have no "break weeks" in their Personal Study Programme.
Whereas:
Student B may choose a 30 week study programme from 10th September to 19th April and include a break week from 8th February - 12th February
- This student wants to include a break in their study programme to visit England or spend time with friends and family who may be arriving to visit him/her in the UK. The student will tell us in advance and we will include this break week in the student's study programme. The ELH office will exclude the break week from the invoice and the student will only pay for a total of 20 weeks + 9 weeks = 29 weeks of study rather than 30 weeks.
