Information for Embassy Students
Embassy students are students who are sponsored by their embassy to study at ELH. If you are an embassy student please also read the following information:
English Language House has worked with Embassy students for many years and we have a very good relationship with many Embassies which send their students to us to improve their English.
Most of our Embassy students study full time courses and take the IELTS exam at the end of their study programme so that they can enter a course at University in the UK.
We have had many successes to date and many Embassy students have completed their language courses at ELH, passed their IELTS exams and moved onto to study at Universities in the UK.
Some students are here with their families and want to improve their English while their husband / wife / parents are in the UK and studying at a University nearby.
Regardless of your reason for choosing English Language House we will always do our best to meet your personal language requirements and help you achieve your targets in the most cost effective way possible. Each Embassy student will meet with our Director of Administration, Academic Manager or Director of Studies when they first join ELH. Together they will negotiate the student's study programme and initial timetable of classes. This timetable will change as a student progresses and achieves a higher level of language competence. The Director of Administration, Academic Manager or Director of Studies will work closely with the student and the teachers to ensure that each student is happy and is achieving and making good progress towards their identified goal.
Embassy students need to be aware of the requirements of their embassy and abide by these rules. We will communicate with the embassy whenever necessary.
Embassy students attendance must be very good and they should ensure they attend no less that 80% of their course.

Embassy student course fees are usually paid by their Embassy. Sometimes it may be necessary for an Embassy student to pay a refundable deposit while ELH waits for their course fees to be paid by the Embassy; this deposit is refunded to the student in full after payment is made by their Embassy.
