Do you know the different between "Affect" and "Effect"?

"affect"  (mostly used as a verb)  means to "have an influence on something"
eg Their divorce affected the children very badly. They had to leave their home, they moved school and became very sad.     

"effect" (mostly used as a nown)  means a result or influence eg We talk about the "cause and effect" of climate change !
